My name is Manivarnan Chinnathambi and I am going to write something about the life and as you read it you wouldn't help wondering the truthfulness in Jeremiah 29:11 which says, ‘For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you plans to give you a future and a hope.'
I was born and brought up in the dirt and grime of the slum called the Madras Colony near the Railway station. My father left home seven years ago and since then there is no news about his whereabouts. My mother is a rag picker and rummages through the wastes and garbage in the city to get something to sell.
Through God's Providence , I was taken in a Children's Home (Hope Children's Home) run by Mr. John Varghese a graduate from P.T.S. who did his practical ministry in Madras Colony. The home is partially funded by a German organization Kinderhilfswerk (KHW).
Furthermore, God's faithfulness was seen when I was able to complete class 10 + 2 at Grace Academy and Carman School respectively. This was possible through the help of God's servants in Hope Children's Home and KHW.
‘What next?' was the main question on my mind as I cleared +2 exams? So with no specific plans and with my +2 result and desire to join B.Sc Nursing I went to KHW to ask for its support for my further studies, but KHW suggested and encouraged me to join one year coaching to prepare for medical entrance exams and promising to support me in my future endeavors especially if I am selected in a medical college.
So presently I'm just a few weeks away from writing my first medical exams. But at the same time, I must add that God's not finished with me yet, all I have to do is trust him always and the verse in the beginning reminds me to do just that.
